Research Interests

My work to date has focused predominantly on the psychometric properties of emotional intelligence (EI) measures and the validity of ability and trait EI measures, and how both types of EI relate to borderline personality disorder (BPD). I am also working on projects that look at emotional processing in BPD, especially emotion perception and affect regulation, and the functions of non-suicidal self-injury.

Teaching

I teach a variety of lectures, workshops and statistics sessions at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
